about our online order menu

Q How do I join or sign up?

A Just ask your Star Printing account representative. They’ll need your email address, phone number, and whether you have a preferred user name and nickname. Some restrictions may apply.

Q What can I order?

A You’ll get your own customized menu that contains some standard items like letterhead, envelopes and business cards. You’ll be able to reorder any previous print job if you have your old PO or job number. And, your Star Printing account representative can have any of your own regular or recurring orders added as their own menu items.

Q How secure is it?

A Customers have to have a Star Printing customer account. Your Star Printing account representative will register you with your user name and initial password. No one can log in without a valid user name and password. Because you already have an account with us, we don’t have to collect information like credit card numbers when you order. We do require an email address when we process your order.

Q Along with that, what’s your data retention and sharing policy?

A We keep information about each of your products and orders but sell nothing.

Q How fast is turnaround?

A Orders are sent directly to our pre-press department via email, so it is like calling or emailing us manually, but easier. 🙂

Q How do products get put on the menu?

A Just ask your Star Printing account representative.

Q Can I customize the content of the print items I order?

A Yes, where the necessary coding has been set up. Even when it hasn’t, you can always request one-off customizations in the ‘Notes’ area. Some restrictions may apply.

Q Can I get a close-up view of the print item I’m ordering?

A For some products there are zoom buttons on the image; for other products, click the image to see an expanded view and use your ‘back’ button to return to the ordering page.

Q Can I customize the layouts of my print items when I order them?

A This is a capability that we are considering for a later date.

Q Why doesn’t it do (this)?

A Because (this) is a feature that we are considering for a later date, a feature we’ve considered but currently have no plans to implement, or a feature we haven’t considered yet.  In any case, we are interested in your suggestions.

Q Can I change my password?

A Yes, from the “Howdy” menu in the upper right. Select “Edit My Profile”. Change your password to something secure and click the “Update” button at the bottom of the page. Weak passwords will be accepted but you’ll have to check the “I acknowledge this isn’t a great password” box.

Q What if I forget my password?

A We can’t tell you what your password is, because we don’t know either. But you can reset your password if you can get your email. Click the “Forgot Password” link on the login menu and follow the directions. An email with detailed password reset information will be sent to the most recent email address on file for your user name. Restrictions may apply.

Q What if I forget my user name?

A You can still log in with your email address.  Once logged in, you can see what your user name is from the “Howdy” menu in the upper right.  Select “Edit My Profile”. Your user name will be visible on that page.

Q Can I change my nickname?

A Yes, from the “Howdy” menu in the upper right. Select “Edit My Profile”. Change your nickname to reflect your true self and click the “Update” button at the bottom of the page.

Q Can I change my email address?

A Yes, from the “Howdy” menu in the upper right. Select “Edit My Profile”. Change your email address and click the “Update” button at the bottom of the page. Restrictions may apply.

Q Can I change my user name?

A Yes, but not through the website. Just ask your Star Printing account representative for the new user name. The new user name will come with its own (new) password, which you can then change yourself. Restrictions may apply.

Q What happens when I click the “Place order” button?

A You’ll get a confirmation page and email. The order is forwarded directly to our pre-press department’s inbox.
